Planning for the Conversion

Q What can students do to plan for the semester conversion?

A Students can do several things:

• If students are close to graduation, they should try to complete all requirements on the quarter system.
  
• If students cannot finish all course work on quarters, they should try to complete all sequences they have started on the quarter system.
  
• Students should not begin course sequences in the 1997-1998 school year unless they are reasonably sure they can complete the sequence prior to the semester conversion (Fall 1998).
  
• If students need to repeat a quarter system course, they should do so before the conversion.
  
• All students should seek out their advisors and start planning their schedules for the 1997-1998 school year. Since this is the last year before the conversion, students must carefully plan what to take and when to take it. Click to see Future Course Offerings on the quarter system.
